Our Story
In May 2004 The Scented Soap Deli popped up at the Rotorua Sound Shell Market for the first time.
Every year we continue to travel up and down New Zealand, exhibiting at NZ Fieldays, A&P Shows and boutique craft markets. We love meeting people from all walks of life and enjoying the New Zealand scenery along the way. Follow us on Facebook to see when we are in a town near you.

Village Saleyards was the home of “The Scented Soap Deli”, located in Pirongia Village. But over the past year it has become harder to source the NZ Art and the rules to retail during covid became confusing and less are travelling past. So unfortunately we have had to close the door and concentrate on our Fairs and online orders. If you are passing call 07 871 9131 to make an appointment to pick up your soaps.

Our Soaps
The Scented Soap Deli has been supplying quality soaps that give your skin the natural treatment it deserves at an everyday reasonable price. A soap that nourishes and replenishes your skins natural oils. With such an array of scents, oils and a rainbow of colours, you’ll be sure to find something for everyone. We specialise in providing a French style, triple milled, certified and sustainable Vegetable Soap Bars. We provide the blends and oils to our soap makers here in NZ and our kiwi friends over in Australia who have over 50 years’ experience between them with a proud tradition of producing the world’s finest natural pure plant oil soaps.
Our Soap base contains Sustainable Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Water, Glycerine, and Salt. All Palm Oil used to produce our soap base is CERTIFIED SUSTAINABLE by the Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil. No Tallow (animal fat) is used in our Soap. Nor does our soap base contain Petra-chemicals or sodium lauryl sulphate.

My Range
My Range offers consumers natural home care products that are gentle on both the skin, and the planet.
I suffer from dermatitis, My Range came about as I was sick of checking labels of ingredients and not understanding what they were so I started making my own. I wanted to share my products with those with sensitive skin and those that just wanted to go natural.
The My Cream name came about as I would always be asking my household, “where’s my cream” so I thought it was the most appropriate name for our moisturising cream. My Dish Wash was born when the kids grew up and left home and I had to start doing the dishes, and like My Laundry Powder, it is better for the environment and also great for those with sensitive skin.
